So you type your "optometry" in Quick Search Box on your freshly updated Android 2.2 phone and you only see four results despite the fact that you have hundreds of contacts with "optometry" in the notes?
Well, 2.2 changes the things a bit. Your "general" Quick Search Box has an icon on the left. Click it and select Contact Search+. Then type "optometry" and you will be able to scroll through your hundreds of contacts.
Ive been waiting for some1 to fix this horrible search problem and yeah, its done! All my contacts not in the name field finally come up. All mytouch

Thank you, thank you, thank you. Installed this, followed the instructions, and now I can search contact fields on my Droid! Essential app IMHO.

Exactly what I have needed. The basic default search was useless. My only other request would be the ability to search by assigned categories.

I have 500 contacts with notes. This app and Outlook produces the same contact search results. The Droid is now suitable for business use.

This is excellent. A feature that should have come with the phone.

If you can't find any of our paid for applications on the market one of the following is the problem:
a) You are in the country where paid applications are not supported. Please give Google and your network operator a shout.
b) Your OS version is lower than what is required by the application. Nothing can be done here other than upgrading your phone.
c) You are signed in with Google Apps account. See this for more details.
